Georgi Beloev is an electronics and software engineer running an engineering services company in Shanghai. His long-standing interest in photography started many years ago with film cameras, when he discovered the magic of capturing and sharing photos. This passion continues today, and you can often find him walking around Shanghai with a camera, looking for beauty in nature and people, or special unique moments.
Georgi especially enjoys capturing happy smiles and connections between people. And, as time went by, Georgi developed a sense for balanced composition and framing, which often make the difference between a good picture and a great one.
Perhaps due to his engineering background, Georgi also got interested in the technical aspects of photography, including exposure settings (aperture, speed, sensitivity), color balance, digital post-processing, etc. He prefers using his Sony DSLR camera but also takes many iPhone pictures.
The technical knowledge certainly helps, but it’s even more important to be able to see the world with photographer’s eyes. Georgi will share practical tips, real-world examples, and advice to help others improve their photography.
